Freelancers & remote workers · UAE
Get paid from abroad, keep more of it.
If you freelance or work remotely from the UAE for clients overseas, the exchange rate is quietly taking a cut of every invoice. Vault Money lets you receive in your client’s currency, hold it, and convert to dirhams at transparent, near-interbank rates.
Your invoice is in one currency, your life is in dirhams
Freelancers, contractors and remote employees across the UAE bill clients in dollars, euros, pounds and more — then need those funds in dirhams to actually live. The trouble is the conversion: most banks and payment apps fold a 2 to 3% margin into the exchange rate, on top of any fee, so a meaningful slice of every payment disappears before it reaches you.
Vault Money gives you a cleaner path. Receive in your client’s currency, hold it across 40+ currencies, and convert to AED only when the timing suits you — always at the live mid-market rate with our margin shown, typically around 0.4%. Over a year of invoices, that is real money back in your pocket.
How it works for freelancers

Frequently asked questions
Can I get paid by clients in different currencies?
Yes. You can receive in USD, EUR, GBP and a wide range of other currencies, hold those balances, and convert to dirhams (or between currencies) when it suits you — at transparent rates.
Is this only for businesses, or can individuals use it?
Both. Independent freelancers and remote workers use Vault Money as individuals; if you operate through a company or free-zone licence, we can set you up on that basis too.
How much can I actually save on conversions?
Most people moving from a bank or consumer payment app see their FX margin fall from around 2–3% to roughly 0.4%. Across a year of overseas invoices, that difference adds up to a meaningful sum.
Is Vault Money regulated?
Vault Money operates through registered entities in the UAE (Meydan Free Zone), the US (FinCEN MSB) and Canada (FINTRAC MSB, Bank of Canada RPAA), and settles through independently licensed partners. It does not itself hold a banking licence or take title to client funds.
